Pony tails and Soffee shorts .
Singing “Opps I did it again”
At the top of our lungs.
Poor dad.
Freaking out when we can finally see the Farris wheel.
We’re so close the butterflies
In my stomach fluttered to my throat
About to bust out.
Park next to uncle Brain and aunt Jen.
Sprinting ahead.
Come on! Come on!
Impatiently waiting in line at the ticket booth.
Neon pink wrist band slapped on my arm.
Now a VIP.
Soar through the air.
Twirl around and around
Every ride is a rush.
Cheeks fall off from laughing so much.
Sticky, cotton stained fingers.
With dirty toes exposed through flip flops,
Wind crazy hair,
And tired legs
Our adventure has come to an end.
Ride home as the sun sets.
Such a perfect summer day.

All I can think about
This time next week I will be on a plane with all of my friends to the Bahamas. I have been waiting for this trip for about a year. By the time it's over I will have spent about 2,000 dollars that came out of my own pocket. It wasn't easy to do on a waitress's paycheck. It will all be worth it when I get to see the ocean for the first time. So I guess you can say life is full of excitment and good anxiety. It seem that everything I do revolves around spring break. I've never been on a trip like this before so I think my feelings are not too over the top. I actually have dreams of myself basking in the hot sun, carefree and happy. I can't even describe how excited I am to get away from the cold and the small town life of Marine City.

Senior Poem
Class of 2010
Here’s to being wide awake
Ten minutes before our alarms
Went off on the
First day of school.
Because it was senior year.
Here’s to counting
Down the last
Ten seconds of every football
Game.
Go Mariners.
Here’s to the tens
Of thousands
Cans we stacked
At float building.
Two years in a row.
Here’s to being 1 and 0
Against the juniors
In tug-a-war.
Here’s to
10 hours of home
Work every week
We skipped
Because of senioritis.
Most importantly,
Here’s to spending the
Past four years together
And graduating
As a class that
Is truly a perfect 10.

Ten minutes before our alarms
Went off on the

Little Girl
My name is Kaila
Yesterday I was his little girl.
Today it is don’t hold me back.
Tomorrow it will be all grown up.
Secretly my name is proud.
My name once was
His little girl.
And always will be.
My name is Kaila
Yesterday I was his little girl.
Today it is don’t hold me back.
Tomorrow it will be all grown up.
Secretly my name is proud.
My name once was
His little girl.
And always will be.
Name poem part 1
Hi, My Name Is
My name is Kaila.
Yesterday I was Sunday.
Today my name is Stuck.
Tomorrow I am
Independent.
Secretly my name is possible.
Because I can make anything
Happen.
Once was wide eyed little girl
With big hopes and dreams.
My name is Kaila.
Yesterday I was Sunday.
Today my name is Stuck.
Tomorrow I am
Independent.
Secretly my name is possible.
Because I can make anything
Happen.
Once was wide eyed little girl
With big hopes and dreams.

Backyard (field photo)
I look out my back yard and think how lucky I am that everything has turned out the way I had hoped it would. I have the house of my dreams, the perfect family and everything anyone could ever want. I love sitting on my back porch, on the swing looking out into the field. Its such a nice view. The kind of place I had dreamed about living in. The country is so peaceful. Ever sence I was a little girl I wanted to live in the country. To be able to wake up everyday and not hear the sound of the noice cars and people outside, no sirens, or loud neighbours. Just the charming sounds of the birds singing, and the sweet smell of the country air. I feel so happy and free. Im so lucky to have everything I want and all I need.
